A major trend in spring/summer fashion

2 words for you: 70’s and suede.

The beauty of fashion nowadays is that it allows you to dress with whatever, whenever, no matter the trends. The rule to look good is to know what to pick from a variety of clothes and styles and to match it with your personality and body shape. Now, more than ever, stylists believe in the power of individuality more than in trends, in what defines each one of us and encourage everyone to find their own fashion style. But, as we are used to by now, each year is defined by a major trend, and it seems like 2015 is about 70’s inspired look….

I actually love the 70’s, as I remember my mother’s photos of her as a young lady, in a very 70’s style. It is defined by flare jeans, mini, midi & maxi skirts (something for everyone), A- line dresses, color, fringe, peasant blouses, patterns all over, suede, platform shoes and wide-brim hats.

You will discover this trend in the collections signed by Jason Wu, Jill Stuart, Michael Kors, Gucci, Burberry…just to name a few.

For a modern approach, I advise to take 1 to a max of 3 elements from the 70’s and mix them with modern pieces.

The biggest players in fast fashion retail are also offering a wide collection of 70’s inspired style, at super cool prices. ZARA, Stradivarius and H&M are always keeping up with the trends, so there is something for every budget.

    Enjoy this 70’s summer,

PS. Going to see “Insurgent” with my husband now. We are on a date today :)). Me sooooo happy.
